Skin tags… they’re not dangerous and usually start out quite small in size, but no-one enjoys having to put up with them – and if they’re left untreated they can become quite large, proving more difficult to remove.
Here at Bellissima in Guiseley we can easily remove them for you by using safe, effective electrolysis treatment.
How Skin Tags are caused and how Bellissima’s treatment works to remove them
Although sometimes hereditary, skin tags are commonly caused by friction from jewellery contacting the skin. They are actually nothing more than tags of loose skin which hang from the surface. They can vary considerably in shape and size, but do sometimes grow bigger if not removed.
At Bellissima our trained therapists use electrolysis to remove skin tags. The skin tag removal treatment uses a very fine needle to cauterise the surface of the unwanted skin tag, removing it both quickly and with very little down time. People tend to describe the treatment as no more than mildly uncomfortable, with some small, dry red marks or scabbing remaining afterwards. These marks will disappear within 7 to 10 days, leaving no scars or other lasting signs that the skin tags were ever present.
How many Skin Tag Removal Treatments will you need?
More than one 30-minute session may be necessary, depending of the number of skin tags present. Skin tag treatments are very successful and are suitable for people of all skin types. We’ll carry out a brief medical consultation at your first appointment to check suitability.
