What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is formulated uniquely as it is pure hyaluronic acid which we find naturally in the skin! HA is responsible for maintaining moisture within our skin and helps the production of collagen and elastin.
Profhilo is developed using a patented technology and acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is therefore fantastic for tired, dull and ageing skin.
What is it used for?
Profhilo is a whole new injectable category which is bio-remodeling. It’s used to treat skin laxity, remodels aging, sagging tissue and has a tightening and lifting effect. It nourishes dermal cells and hydrates your skin from the inside out, filling lines and wrinkles and addressing skin texture.
How does it work?
Profhilo is injected using the BAP technique (insert pic of BAP technique) 5 injections per side of the face specifically chosen in anatomically respective areas. It is a Slow injection just below the skin’s surface (reduced pain) very superficial. It disperses under the skin quickly and results can be seen in as little as 2 weeks as it works to boost hydration, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
For treating the face, Profhilo is injected in just 2 sessions (one syringe per session) over a 4 week period.
As a stabilized product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days during this time 4 types of collagen and elastin takes place by the slow release of hyaluronic acid.
Is Profhilo for me?
From 30 years old, our skin starts to lose its collagen, elastin and HA and this is the most common age for people to start noticing their skin is aging. Profhilo is a great option for those who have noticed the signs of aging but aren’t quite reading to go down the dermal filler route. Profhilo results are soft and subtle and can be used to compliment other aesthetic treatments.
What results can I expect?
You can expect to see hydration, reduction in fine lines and a glow to the skin. Your skin will be noticeably smoother, tighter and lifted.
Where can it be used?
Profhilo is most commonly used for the face, but results have also been effective in rejuvenating the neck, décolleté, arms and backs of hands.
How long does Profhilo last?
Skin condition can be seen to be improved in as little as 2 weeks.
The results can last up to 6 months but results can differ from person to person, the recommendation is to have a maintenance treatment once every 6 months.
Is it painful?
Profhilo isn’t painful as it is such a superficial injection and we will use topical local anaesthetic to help numb the skin for your comfort.
Any side effects or Aftercare.?
There are minimal side effects and less bruising as it is such a superficial injection. We advise you not to wear make up for the rest of the day and avoid touching injection sites. It is recommended not to exercise excessively, swim or use steam rooms and saunas for 48 hours post treatment.
